CATHARINES LEADS THE BEST-OF-SEVEN SERIES (3-0) |
Warriors collapse with 8-3 loss
Game #4 Thursday from Valley Park
03-Mar-2008 · 9:45am
If the Warriors were worried about coming into Jack Gatecliff
Arena down two games to none, they didn't show it Monday night as they
opened Game #3 of the quarterfinal series with a 3-goal first period effort.

Stoney Creek made it 3-0 in front of a silenced Falcons
crowd when Jordan Winger beat Falcons goaltender Steele De Fazio at the
7:40 minute mark, grabbing his first goal of the series.
The Falcons then turned the tables on the visiting Stoney
Creek Warriors - they scored three goals of their own in a row, to tie
the game 3-3 by the 13:49 mark of the first. Chris Stevenson netted the
first two Falcons goals, one on the power-play, while Brad Jackson's power-play
goal tied the game to the many loud cheers inside JGA.
Mike Stone gave St. Catharines their first lead Monday
night when he scored an even-strength goal for the Falcons at 14:52 of
the first. The Falcons kept pounding the Warriors for their early offensive
outburst by grabbing their fifth goal of the game when JT MacDonald scored
a power-play marker at the 15:57 mark, still of the first period. The
period finally ended with the Falcons leading the Warriors 5-3.
