Canucks pull out 3rd period
win

The Niagara Falls Canucks ended the Falcons 6-game playoff
winning streak, sneaking out a third period 3-2 win against St. Catharines
Saturday night inside Niagara Falls Memorial Arena.

Stephen Ceccanese grabbed his fourth goal of the post-season,
26th of the year, when he scored the first period's only marker. JT MacDonald
and Riley Sheahan assisted on the goal.

The Falcons jumped out to a 2-0 lead with Chris Stevenson's
second period goal at the 7:21 minute mark. Daultan Leveille grabbed the
lone assist on the play.
Kyle Jukosky broke Steele De Fazio's shutout just past
the halfway point of the same period. Jukosky's power-play goal was assisted
by Joel Scott and Mike Kusy. The second period ended with the Falcons
retaining a 2-1 lead over the Canucks.

The Canucks stepped up their attack in the third period,
outshooting the Falcons 15-13, while scoring twice to secure a 3-2 lead
before the final buzzer at the 60 minute mark.
Tyler McFadden tied the game 2-2 with just under 10 minutes
to play in the third with an even-strength goal, assisted by Taylor Sexton
and Geoff Shugg.
The game winner for the Canucks came off the stick of
Joe Baldinelli with less than 2 minutes to play in the period. At the
18:04 minute mark of the third period, Baldinelli beat De Fazio, with
the help of Shawn Connors and Sexton.

The next game in the series takes place this Tuesday,
March 18th, when the Canucks visit Jack Gatecliff Arena for Game #4 of
the best-of-seven series. Game time from St. Catharines is 7:30pm sharp!
