Stone scores OT winner

Mike Stone scored the overtime winning marker Saturday
night in Fort Erie to secure the win and 2 points for the Falcons against
the Meteors inside the Leisureplex.
For the second night in a row, the Falcons participated
in a match that totalled nine goals on the evening. Friday night's outcome
was a losing effort, but St. Catharines turned the table Saturday night.

The Mountainview Homes Falcons netted goals from Vladimir
Bessonov, Riley Sheahan, Andre Abayof, JT MacDonald and Mike Stone. All
goals scored by St. Catharines were at even-strength.

The Meteors responded with markers from Lucas Van Natter
(2) and Kyle Steckley (2). Van Natter's second goal during a power-play
tied the game up at 4-4 in the third period with 4:30 remaining.

Van Natter's tying goal eventually forced overtime, where
Mike Stone beat the Fort Erie backstop 2:39 into the extra period, with
help from Falcons forward JT MacDonald.Jeff Amadio added an empty-net
goal at 19:38 of the third to make the final score 5-2 in favour of the
visiting Falcons.
Falcons backup netminder Yvon Boulet made 33 saves on
37 shots for the overtime victory, while Fort Erie goaltender Jeff Broeker
turned away 36 of 41 shots to record the loss.
The Falcons next game is at home on Friday, November
26th, when they host the Wheatfield Jr. Blades inside the Jack Gatecliff
Arena. Game time is 7:30pm sharp.
