Welland nets OT winner

With a lead going into the third period, the Mountainview
Homes Falcons couldn't hold on for the win against the second place Jr.
Canadians inside Main Arena Sunday night in Welland.

The Jr. Canadians shut out the Falcons in the first period,
grabbing goals from John Aitken and Jason Duliban (SH) before the end
of the first 20 minutes of play.
The Falcons returned the favour in the second period,
shutting out the Canadians and netting three of their own goals to carry
a 3-2 lead into the second intermission. Scoring for St. Catharines in
the second were Daultan Leveille, Stephen Ceccanese and Ryan Elbers.

Welland tied the game in the third period with a goal
from Dan Ellis at the 11:26 mark of the period, and neither team could
grab the winner in regulation time which sent the game into overtime.

Welland forward Rodney Inglis scored exactly one minute
into the extra period, giving Welland a 4-3 win over the Falcons. Steele
De Fazio recorded the overtime loss for St. Catharines, while Chris Wills
was rewarded with the win after taking over in between the pipes in the
third period for Matt Hansell.

The Falcons next game is in Wheatfield at Buffalo State
Arena on Tuesday, November 27th. Game time versus the Jr. Blades is 7:30pm.
