Blades/Falcons battle to draw

Coming off an overtime loss Sunday night against the
Welland Jr. Canadians, the St. Catharines Mountainview Homes Falcons were
looking for anything other than more overtime hockey Tuesday night against
the Wheatfield Jr. Blades inside Buffalo State Arena.

The Falcons received just that with an undecided game
after 60 minutes of play against the Blades. Tying for the third time
in 6 games, the Falcons came back from behind to tie the game in the third
period with a power-play goal from forward Stephen Ceccanese at the 6:50
minute mark.
The final outcome after 65 minutes of hockey was a 3-3
tie between the two hockey clubs, and both sides were sent home each with
a point for the standings. The tie pushed St. Catharines into sole possession
of third place overall, while Wheatfield moved up to 4 points on the season.

Chris Stevenson netted two goals in the second period
for St. Catharines, while John Ennis recored two markers for the Jr. Blades
in the same period. Miles Martin scored the lone goal of the first period
for Wheatfield.

The tie pushed Falcons goaltender Steele De Fazio's win-loss-tie
record to (9-9-3) on the season, while Wheatfield backstop Joseph Johansen
earned his first tie of the season at (1-6-1).

The Falcons host the Niagara Falls Canucks on Friday,
November 30th inside Jack Gatecliff Arena. Game time for the last Falcons
game of the month is 7:30pm!
