Falcons drop Blades 5-2

The Wheatfield Jr. Blades made their second trip to
Jack Gatecliff Arena Friday night to face off against the Mountainview
Homes Falcons, who were coming off a spectacular 6-2 win earlier in the
weeke against Welland.

Falcons defenseman Brandon McGregor scored the lone goal
of the first period. Chris Garbacz and Chris Stevenson assisted on the
goal for St. Catharines. Shots on net were even between the two clubs
at 12 a piece.

Brad Jackson scored twice in the second period to make
the score 3-0 for St. Catharines after 40 minutes of play.

Kyle Cliffe and Gene Naab grabbed two goals in the third
period, but the Falcons netted two as well to go up 5-2, which would end
up being the final score of the game.
Steele De Fazio stopped 22 of 24 shots for the win on
Friday, while Joseph Johansen turned away 32 of 36 shots to record the
loss.

Attendance inside Jack Gatecliff Arena Tuesday night
was announced as 510.
The Falcons hit the road on Saturday, December 8th, when
they travel to Fort Erie for a special face off time of 4:00pm.
