Goaltender Brendan Sullivan hit the ice for the Sailors Tuesday night and started off a little shakey after allowing a short-handed unassisted goal to Falcons forward Stephen Ceccanese early in the first period at 5:20. After JT MacDonald fought Sullivan for the puck in the corner, it bounced out to Ceccanese who put a shot on net, beating the goalie as he tried to get back to his crease.

The Sailors tied the game up 1-1 less than seven minutes later when Dan Minor beat Falcons netminder Steele De Fazio with an even-strength goal at the 12:00 minute mark. Former Falcon Miles Torch assisted on the tying marker, recording his 31st point of the season on the play. The period ended tied, with the Sailors leading the Falcons 12-10 in shots on net.

The second period opened with a quick goal by Port Colborne just 31 seconds after the drop of the puck. Dan Minor scored his second of the game, from Curtis Longland and Torch, while the Falcons defense stood motionless around in front of De Fazio.

St. Catharines netted their second goal, on the power-play, tying the game 2-2 at the 5:34 mark of the period. Riley Sheahan scored lucky #13 with helpers from Ryan Elbers and Kevin Floris.

The Falcons went up 3-2 at the 10:21 mark of the same period with forward Brad Jackson's 9th goal of the season. JT MacDonald assisted on the go-ahead goal for St. Catharines, his 35th point as a Falcon this season.

The Sailors tied the game once again before the end of the second period. Adam Shoff scored his first goal of the game to make the score 3-3 with assists to Dillon Rivier and Kris Lavoie. Time of the goal was 19:03.

The Falcons pulled out a late period goal of their own, scoring with less than 2 seconds left in the period. JT MacDonald, from Jackson and Ceccanese, scored for St. Catharines to go up 4-3 over the Sailors.

Penalties seemed to be few and far between Tuesday night as both penalty boxes remained empty for most of the night. The third period was no different for infractions, even though both teams were chippier with such a tight scoring game.

Falcons forward Brad Jackson scored his second goal of the match in the third period, the only goal of the final 20 minutes of play, to give St. Catharines a 5-3 win over the Port Colborne Sailors. Jackson's goal scored him the second star of the game as well.

Attendance inside JGA Tuesday night was announced at 271 fans. The Falcons next game is on the road this Friday when the Falcons travel to Niagara Falls to face the Canucks inside Memorial Arena. Game time from the honeymoon capital is 7:30pm.
