The third period was a little quieter on the scoreboard
with the referees slowing the pace with penalties. The Falcons added two
more goals to make the final score 7-1 in favour of the home team. With
the win, St. Catharines joins Thorold, Niagara Falls and Stoney Creek
amongst the eight teams of the Golden Horseshoe Conference to win their
first game of the season.
Though many fans in attendance where wearing shorts inside
Jack Gatecliff Arena Friday night due to the nice weather outside, the
announced attendance was 402 fans.
