Falcons lose first shootout

The St. Catharines Mountainview Homes Falcons lost their
first shootout of the season Saturday night at the hands of the Niagara
Falls Canucks.
Former Falcon JT MacDonald and Canucks forward Mike Kusy
both beat Falcons backstop Jeff Sinclair with their shots during the shootout
to win 2-0 and win the game 5-4. Riley Sheahan and Miles Torch were unsuccessful
against Niagara Falls goaltender Jacob Rattie with their shootout attempts.

Miles Torch scored twice for St. Catharines in a losing
effort, while Cam McLean netted two for the home town Canucks. Niagara
Falls outshot the Falcons 42-39.
Down 4-3 with under a minute to play in the third period,
the Falcons scored an unassisted goal with an extra attacker on the ice
to send the game into overtime. Falcons forward Riley Sheahan scored the
tying goal, his 18th of the season, with 25 seconds left to play.
